Exhale with Stephen
Exhale the pressure….inhale possibility.
Stephen Sporer (RYT-500) invites you to breathe, move, and grow through the power of yoga, meditation, and breathing (pranayama). Whether you are seeking specialized yoga experiences from employee and volunteer wellness programs, to retreats for large or small groups, to connecting with others within social and community circles, or personalized 1:1/private sessions, take a moment to find space for yourself to gain tools you can use to discover strength—whether through stillness or movement—while you quiet out the noise—so you don’t just navigate the world you inhabit…you thrive in it.
Stephen Sporer (he/him) is an inclusive yoga instructor committed to helping people connect to breath, movement, and presence so they can live out their most authentic self.
His yoga journey began shortly after 9/11 while living in New York, when his workplace offered classes through a staff wellness program. Those classes sparked a deep, lasting connection to the practice.
Years later, during the pandemic while living in Iowa, Stephen earned his 200-hour certification and began teaching. In a time of uncertainty and isolation, yoga offered grounding, growth, and connection which shaped his purpose to share the healing power—both mental and physical--of the practice with others. He has since completed advanced training in Yin, pranayama, Yoga Nidra, and trauma-informed yoga, and earned his 300-hour RYT in the fall of 2025. Stephen infuses his passion for music in the classroom as well, creating an immersive atmosphere supporting both energy and stillness. Beyond his community, Stephen has enjoyed absorbing classes and workshops when traveling, including Kripalu (Massachusetts), Copenhagen, Rome, and Helsinki.
Stephen has taught a variety of styles to many groups, including vinyasa power flows, hot yoga, sculpt, yin/restorative, and meditation, at a vast range of spaces including CorePower Yoga and Power Life Yoga, to cat cafés, PRIDE festivals, parks, gymnasiums, and flower farms (cats roamed there, too).
Stephen currently teaches weekly at the Capps Jewish Community Center in St Paul, and clients include Macalester College, RBC Wealth Management, and others.
Guided by his sankalpa ‘To help people breathe easier,’ Stephen welcomes you to the mat exactly as you are—wherever you are on your journey.
